About The Nesting House

The Nesting House was opened in 2010 in Mount Airy by mothers Jennifer Kinka and Meredith Jacoby. The two women wanted a space where they could provide quality clothing for families at affordable prices while creating little environmental impact. In 2013, Meredith left, and Jennifer’s husband, Christopher, joined the team.

Now, a decade later, this family-run shop does what it can for parents trying to help the world around them. Since opening, the shop has expanded its products and opened a second location. Regardless of how much the shop grows, the commitment to doing good remains at its core!

The Nesting House has a vast selection of gently used children’s clothes. They have a program for buying and reselling quality pieces, so those 3-month onesies actually last much longer than a fraction of a year. The store cares deeply about health and safety. It will generally not buy items that might no longer be a reliable option for families.
