About Lancaster Doulas
Lancaster Doulas was started by Holly Yeager after her second birth. Holly was assisted throughout her labor by doulas and found the entire experience both healing and empowering. After that, she decided to devote her life to helping women have a similar experience. Holly has witnessed countless births and has been there for everything from in-hospital C-sections to at-home breech births. At Lancaster Doulas, she’s joined by a team of birth doulas, postpartum doulas, and lactation consultants. Through the center, you’ll feel equipped for every situation pregnancy could throw at you.
Services
Lancaster Doulas believe in offering you support by building a relationship with you throughout your pregnancy. Once you enter into their care, you’ll be assigned two birth doulas who will be there whenever labor begins. You’ll have multiple visits with them prior to your delivery so you can get to know them and work out a birth plan. Once labor begins, they’ll coach you on positions and will provide natural methods for pain relief. Your doula can assist in any environment and will support your choices throughout pregnancy. You can begin to work with them months prior to conception or can hire them right before you go into labor.
The center offers exceptional postpartum doulas and lactation consultants. Postpartum doulas are some of the best help you can get following your delivery. Whether you want someone to check on your recovery and help with the baby or need a friend who will stay with your little one for a few hours so you can get some much-needed rest, your doula will be there. The lactation consultants will work with you to troubleshoot any nursing issues and make sure you’re set up for success with your baby.

Lancaster Doulas provides placenta encapsulation for mothers who want the health benefits of the service. The center will prepare placenta pills using OSHA guidelines.
